Bobrisky released After 4 Months for Naira Note Charges

Idris Okuneye, the well-known Lagos socialite Bobrisky, has been released from custody after his April 2024 arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on charges of naira mutilation.

The news of Bobrisky’s release was confirmed by a video posted on Instagram by his friend, Abiodun Folashade Tokunbo, on August 5, 2024.

 

In the video, Tokunbo jubilantly announced Bobrisky’s freedom with the caption, “Finally, O.U.TTTTT… BOBRISKYYYY fine die,” reflecting the joy surrounding his release. Bobrisky expressed his gratitude and affection in the comments, writing simply, “I love you.” This marks a significant development in the high-profile case that had drawn considerable public and media attention.
