Boniface, Tella Battle Lookman For Europa League Glory

Bayer Leverkusen and Atalanta will clash in the final of the UEFA Europa League on Wednesday night by 8pm (WAT) in what promises to be a thrilling encounter, at the AVIVA Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.

The clash will feature three Nigerians, with Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella representing Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen. Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman would be in the colours of Atalanta.

Boniface, who was sidelined for around three months this season has scored five goals in the competition for Leverkusen this season. His compatriot Tella has also played a key role in Levekusen’s march to the final of the competition.

Bayer Leverkusen are unbeaten in 51 games across all competitions this season and will look to add the Europa League title to their Bundesliga crown.

For Lookman and Atalanta, they will be keen to avoid another heart break after losing 1-0 to Juventus in the final of the Coppa Italia last week.

Lookman registered a goal and an assist in Atalanta’s Europa League semi-final victory over Olympic Marseille and would be looking cause an upset against an in-form Leverkusen side in the final.

The match promises to deliver goals and wild celebrations as two of Europe’s finest clash in the Europa League final.
