Borlaug International Dialogue Announces Keynote Speaker
The World Food Prize Foundation has announced the Director General of Food and Agriculture Organization, FAO, Hon. Qu Dongyu as the special keynote speaker in the Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue on October 24-26, 2023.
According to the organizers, Dr. Qu Dongyu has been a strong advocate for the transformation of agrifood systems in order to make them “more efficient, more inclusive, more resilient and more sustainable and promote the Four Betters: better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life.”
The FAO Director-General, who also served once as China’s Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, MARA, would deliver a keynote address during the 2023 Borlaug Dialogue among other dignitaries.
The Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue, also known as the “Borlaug Dialogue,” is a three-day ‘symposium’ that brings together individuals from more than 65 countries to address issues related to global food security and nutrition Global leaders, experts, educators, students, and more will join the 2023 Borlaug Dialogue “to discuss transformative solutions to achieve a sustainable, equitable, and nourishing food system.”
