Borno Flood: First Lady’s Initiative Donates 500 Million Naira

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has extended her condolences to the Government and people of Borno State following the devastating flood disaster that occurred on September 10, 2024.

Represented by Hajiya Nana Shettima, wife of the Vice President and Vice President of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), she presented a cheque of 500 million Naira from the Renewed Hope Initiative, aimed at supporting the flood victims.

Hajiya Nana, along with an entourage that included the wives of the Lagos and Yobe State Governors, as well as the wife of the Minister of Agriculture also visited the Shehu of Borno to offer their sympathies.

Similarly, the Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Radda, visited the Government House to express his condolences and announced a donation of 100 million naira from the Katsina State Government to assist the victims of the disaster.
