Borno State Governor in North-East Nigeria, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has distributed the sum of 150 million naira to most vulnerable people in Damboa community in the state.
Governor Zulum who supervised the distribution of the relief materials said it is to support the less privileged, those who are victims of flood were not left out, they got fifty thousand naira in cash as well as food items and fabrics.
The Governor said: “It is a sad situation that this community had experience water flooding which has led to the destruction of houses which was estimated to about 500 households, but again I will like to discourage residents to desist from building their homes on waterways because some of the houses destroyed were on water-ways.“
Governor Zulum also inspected the ongoing construction of Integrated sangaya School at Kachalla – bulari community which has 3 blocks of 16 class rooms and total of 48 rooms, along Chibok road with 40 to 45% completion.
