Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has officially commissioned a 500-unit housing project in Konduga aimed at resettling long-displaced individuals from the community.

During the event, each of the 424 resettled households, comprising both men and women, received a cash grant of ₦50,000. Additionally, wives of the returnees were also provided with ₦20,000 each to support their families.

As part of the resettlement package, each family was given essential supplies, including mattresses, water containers, mats, wrappers, 25 kg of rice, and 25 kg of maize, to help them rebuild their lives.

In his brief remarks, Governor Zulum urged the resettlement committee to remain resilient and continue supporting government initiatives, which are aimed at providing the dividends of democracy to all.

He further reassured the gathering of his commitment to fully resettle all Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the state before the end of his tenure in May 2027.
