Borno State Governor Mourns Spokesperson Isa Gusau

Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, is immersed in profound sorrow and grief following the passing of his esteemed spokesperson, Malam Isa Gusau.

Mr. Gusau, who battled a prolonged illness, departed on January 11, 2024, at a hospital in India.

 

Governor Zulum expressed not only his personal sorrow but also conveyed the collective mourning of the entire Borno State government for the loss of a dedicated public servant and valued team member.

 

Having personally reached out to the late spokesperson’s family, Governor Zulum extends heartfelt condolences to friends, associates, and especially members of the media industry who shared a professional connection with Isa Gusau.

 

Isa Gusau’s tenure as the Special Adviser on Public Relations and Strategy to Governor Zulum, starting from June 2019, showcased his remarkable commitment to public service. His earlier service in the same capacity under Senator Kashim Shettima during his term as the Governor of Borno highlighted Gusau’s enduring dedication.

 

“Mallam Isa Gusau was universally admired for his unwavering commitment to the people of Borno State and his exceptional professionalism in his role. His tireless advocacy for the state involved relentless efforts to communicate government initiatives and policies with clarity and transparency,” remarked Governor Zulum.

 

The Governor added, “Isa Gusau will be remembered for his deep-seated passion for serving the people of Borno State and his unwavering dedication to the state’s betterment. His outstanding communication skills played a pivotal role in fostering understanding and cooperation between the government and the people.”

 

In a solemn prayer, Governor Zulum sought the repose of Isa Gusau’s soul and invoked divine strength for the late spokesperson’s family and loved ones to bear the irreparable loss.
