Borno State: Governor Zulum renovates Chibok Girls Secondary School

The Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum has renovated the Chibok girls secondary school after over 200 students were abducted seven years ago by insurgents
This was part of the projects he commissioned on his second anniversary while some were the reconstruction of destroyed facilities by Boko haram and other projects across the state.
Governor Zulum was at Chibok local government area to commission the reconstructed school.
“Let me again use this opportunity to commiserate with the parents of the abducted students of this school with the horrific incidence that happend 7 years back. Let us pray for the release of the remaining abducted children, let me also use the opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to the Minister for Women affairs Dame Pauline Talin for the effort she has been making towards the repositioning of the position of the women in Borno and the entire country”
“I stand with you today to commissioned some projects under taken by the current administration in Chibok LGA, and it is also in our campaign promises, we are also commissioning the newly constructed Government lodge here in Chibok, primary health care in Mbalala, Government technical Secondary School also in Mbalala. 200 housing unit with 8 detached toilets as well as 10 boreholes with capacity of discharging 15 to 20 litters per seconds.”
The Governor further said, “The borehole are powered with solar panel and 100 KBA generator, the borehole has important facilities such as 750 service tank, 500 litters of overhead tank and total of about 1.250 thousand litters.“
According to the Minister for Women affairs Dame Pauline Talin,“I bring you warm greetings from President Muhammadu Buhari on this auspious occasion of reopening of the rebuild Government girls secondary school Chibok. With what I’m seeing today I can say peace has return to Borno.
“I remember last year in December when I came to visit the children and parents of Chibok community, because of the tense situation then I was given 1 hour to do my assignment and a helicopter was hovering over me. But today I can see a more relax atmosphere and to be in this school today is a moving memory of what happened in 2014 has come to mind, but I pray with the energetic effort of Governor Babagana Zulum and God’s guidance peace will return permanently to Borno.”
Governor Zulum gave out relief items to the parents of the abducted Chibok school girls.
“We hereby as a government wants the minister of women affairs to kindly present them with some relief them we have in stock, 500kg bag of rice, 250kg of maize grains, 250 wrappers and a token of 4.4 million naira to be shared among them.”
