The National Executive Committee, NEC meeting of the Nigerian governing party, the All Progressives Congress, APC scheduled to hold on Thursday, March 17 has been cancelled.
This is contained in a press statement signed by the APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee Secretary, Senator John Akpanudoedehe.
“As directed by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning (CECPC) and Governor of Yobe State, H.E. Mai Mala Buni, a purported emergency meeting of the Party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) slated for Thursday, March 17, 2022 is hereby cancelled,” the statement read.
It would be recalled that the APC under the Acting Chairman of the Caretaker Committee, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello had planned to hold a NEC meeting where some matter surrounding the party’s March 26 National Convention were to be ratified.
