‘Buga’ becomes most googled song in Nigeria

Nigerian singer and owner of Fly Boy inc Kizz Daniel’s latest release with Tekno, ‘Buga’, has become the most googled song in Nigeria and the world at large.

‘Buga’ has topped major charts in Africa, hitting one million streams in seven days of release on Boomplay, 5.1 million views on YouTube on the official lyric video, about 11.4 million equivalent streams and 47.5 million in radio reach (No. 2 debut on radio) and set a new record for the song with the biggest total activity in history.

In the first six months of 2022, ‘Buga’ has emerged as the biggest song in the country enjoying huge commercial acclaim. The song has found eager ears with both young and older demographics and it has also enjoyed domestic and international acceptance.

‘BUGA’ was released on 3rd May 2022 and with a blistering three months run, it was able to become the most popular song in Nigeria. Its position as the most googled song in Nigeria in the first half of 2022 highlights its wide reach and is immutable proof of its status.

Other songs on the list: Other popular releases of 2022 also made the top ten list with Kizz Daniel and Ruger being the only artists with two songs on the list.
