Bulgaria has celebrated 60 years of partnership with Nigeria
At the reception to mark б0 years of Diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Nigeria held in Abuja, the nation’s capital The Bulgarian Ambassador to Nigeria, Yanko Yordanov said “Nigeria has produced quite a lot especially in the recent past years.”
Ambassador Yankov who expressed Nigeria’s readiness to deepen bilateral ties with the Federal Republic of Bulgaria, in the field of Education, mentioning that scholarship opportunities exist for Nigerian students in some Universities in Bulgaria recognised the changes made in President’s Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration which has made it easier to be in partnership.
“I wish to say it’s easy to be Bulgarian Ambassador in Nigeria. We are thankful to the new administration of Nigeria for designing some measures that have been really helpful.”
To further talk about the partnership with Nigeria, Ambassador Yanko added that the purpose of the diplomats’ visit was to strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
On his favourite Nigerian dish and music, Ambassador Yanko said he likes everything.
Speaking to Jeremiah Umaru Essien, the Chairman of Nigerian Bulgarian parliamentary in the house of representatives, he mentioned the Bulgarians visit included visiting parliament, taking a tour around to observe sessions and observe committee engagements, he says, the whole intention is to build relationship
Vladislav Panev, Deputy Chairman of the committee of economic policy and innovation says, Nigerians are friendly and he would always remember that.
“60 years later, we are proud to see a lot of Bulgarian Alumni here in Nigeria.”
