The Special Adviser to the President on Public Communication and Media, Mr. Daniel Bwala, has urged Nigerians to be optimistic about the reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying by the first quarter of 2025, Nigerians will experience a clear difference in governance to the previous administration.

Mr. Bwala stated this on Monday to Voice of Nigeria Hausa, while speaking on several efforts of President Tinubu-led administration in addressing challenges of food security, insecurity, and inflation confronting the nation.

The Presidential aide who assumed office on Monday also said the President is committed to tackling the challenge of the food crisis and bringing down inflation.

“Nigerians should be more patient. The government is doing enough but other natural calamities are responsible for the setbacks the country is going through.

“Nigeria has started seeing the difference and by the beginning of 2025, Nigerians will begin to see the real difference and the change in the administration of President Tinubu.”

He called on Nigerians to be more patient and support the administration of President Tinubu while the government achieves its economic reforms.

Reactions To His Appointment

Further speaking to State House Correspondents on certain reactions to his appointment by the President, Mr. Bwala said he remains focused and committed to achieving the mandate of President Tinubu’s administration.

“In life, generally, you look at focus. When you are focused on a thing, you are going to be faced with distraction. Your character will be determined by how you conduct yourself in the case of carrying out the information. It’s about the government. It’s about the president. It’s about his administration. It’s not about Bwala and because these things have been trashed before, I don’t want to feed the negative energy that is obviously sponsored by some.

“So with the first one, all of us are servants and aides to the President. Section Five of the Constitution based the executive powers of the Federation on the president, and he carries out his duty to look at Section Five, either by himself, to the Vice President or the ministers of the government or the Federation or agency.

So the President is the team leader. Every other person functions as the President wishes, and the position I have been appointed into, the last person who occupied information was a spokesman, if you look at the description of my responsibility, special adviser to the President on media and public communication, State House. So that is self-explanatory,” Mr Bwala added.

Further Speaking on leading the Presidency Media team, Mr. Bwala said” What I can tell you is that all of us are servants of the president. There is no issue as to the differences in terms of the responsibility. Everybody knows his responsibility. I am not here to define the responsibility of anybody other than myself, because it will amount to gaslighting. I only came to introduce myself to you and the role that was given to me by Mr. President.”

It would be recalled that President Bola Tinubu on November 14th, approved the appointment of Daniel Bwala as Special Adviser, Media and Public Communications for the State House.
