
CAF Conveys Condolences To The Family Of Christian Chukwu
The President of the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF), Dr Patrice Motsepe, has conveyed his condolences to the family of Christian Chukwu, a prominent figure in Nigerian and African football.
Dr Motsepe revealed his sadness at the passing of Chukwu, a formidable defender who made history by becoming the first Nigeria captain to lift the CAF Africa Cup of Nations trophy in 1980.
CAF recognised Christian Chukwu as a true legend of African football, whose influence extended beyond the pitch. His memory will be cherished by fans and the football community across the continent.
Dr Motsepe conveyed his and CAF’s deepest condolences to the family of Chukwu, the Nigerian Football Association (NFF) and the Nigerian football family.
