CAF Interclub Season Kicks Off On September 9th
Africa’s top football clubs are counting down to the start of the CAF 2022/2023 Interclubs competition season, with the preliminary rounds of both the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup scheduled to kickoff on Friday, 9th September, 2022.
In the CAF Champions League, 58 clubs will be hoping to dethrone African champions Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco.
While a total of 50 clubs will be vying for top honours to unseat current champions of the Confederation Cup, RS Berkane.
The first leg of the matches of the first preliminary round will be played on September 9th – 11th, with the return matches scheduled to be played a week later.
Preliminary Round Dates:
First Round (Home/Away): 9th – 11th September / 16th – 18th September 2022
Second Round (Home/Away): 7th – 9th October / 14th – 16th October 2022.
