CAFCC: Rivers United Holds Etoile Filante In Cote d’Ivoire
Rivers United FC of Nigeria were held to a 0-0 draw by hosts Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso in the first leg of their second preliminary round CAF Confederation Cup fixture, at the Municipal Stadium in Yamoussoukro, Cote d’Ivoire.
The game ended goalless in spite of the efforts of the two teams to secure a vital victory.
Rivers United will host the second leg of the fixture at the Adokie Amesiemaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on the 1st of October, 2023.
The second leg matches will take place to determine which clubs book their places in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
