CAFWCL: Edo Queens Beat Sundowns, Book Semi-Final Spot

Edo Queens once again proved their mettle in the ongoing 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League playoffs with a 2-1 win over the defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies.

Kgadiete put the defending champions ahead in the 23rd minute and pegged back the Nigerian champions.

Toward the end of the game, Peace Essien drew the WAFU B champions level before Harry Mamudu netted the winning goal in the 97th minute.

The victory put Edo Queens on top of the group ahead of the Massar FC with a better goal difference.
