Campus Journalism Awards: DG VON To Lead Assembly Of Dignitaries

The Director-General of Voice of Nigeria, Jibrin Ndace, will preside over a distinguished assembly of dignitaries at the Sixth Annual Campus Journalism Awards.
This prestigious event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Cosmopolitan University Hall in Abuja.
The event, themed “Thriving in the 21st Century Media Landscape,” will celebrate outstanding campus journalists across Nigerian universities.
Ndace will serve as the Special Guest of Honour, while Azubuike Ishiekwene, Senior Vice Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of LEADERSHIP Newspapers, will deliver the keynote address.
Other notable dignitaries expected to attend include Comrade Auwal Ibrahim Musa Rafsanjani, Executive Director of the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC); Mohammed Abu Ibrahim, Executive Secretary of the National Agricultural Development Fund; Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation; and Lanre Issa-Onilu, Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA).
This year’s edition of the Campus Journalism Awards attracted 373 entries across 12 categories, with 36 finalists shortlisted.
Chief Superintendent of Customs Abdullahi Aliyu Maiwada and keynote speaker Azubuike Ishiekwene will also be honoured with the prestigious Honorary Patron Awards.
The event promises to be an exciting celebration of campus journalism in Nigeria.
