CAN youth organises Peace Summit in Ebonyi

The Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Youth wing of Ebonyi State Chapter in Southeast Nigeria has organised Peace and Award Summit to inculcate in the youth the spirit of Peacefulness and hard work.

The Chairman Youth wing Deacon Steven Nwodom made this known to Journalists in his speech in Abakaliki the State Capital.

Mr Nwodom said Nigerian youths are gradually deviating from the cultural values and norms in which youths are known for.

“This summit was organised to reorient the youths on the need to stop the killings going on in the country, knowing that youths are always the instruments normally used to perpetrate all these evil”.

The Chairman, Southeast Christian Association of Nigeria Very Reverend Father Abraham Nwali, who was represented by the Vice chairman, Reverend Scamb Nwokolo advised the youths to always be of good conducts.

One of the awardees who was honoured during the event, who is also the former Nigeria  Minister for power and steel, Chief Godwin Ogbaga thanked the organisers of the program and urged the youths to always be law abiding.

He remanded the youths that they are tomorrow’s leaders and should be conscious of what they are doing.

Ogbaga thanked them for founding him worthy of the award.
