Carragher blasts Bailly’s over United favoritism claims
Ex-England Defender Jamie Carragher has blasted Ivorien player Eric Bailly over claims that Manchester United favoured English players.
Bailly barely featured last season under coaches Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.
Both managers stuck by England centre-back Harry Maguire despite his poor form at Old Trafford.
However, Carragher took to twitter describing called Bailly’s comments as ‘absolute nonsense.’
‘Absolute nonsense, Eric Bailly has been injured consistently and poor when he has played,’ Carragher wrote.
‘That’s why they keep buying players to replace him! Harry Maguire is a better player.’

Maguire started United’s first two games of the season but was dropped after Ten Hag’s side lost at home to Brighton and suffered an embarrassing defeat at Brentford.
In Maguire’s absence, Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane have established a promising centre-back partnership and helped United win four games in a row.
Manchester United, currently sixth in the Premier League, begin their Europa League campaign against Real Sociedad on Thursday night.
