The Chairman of the National Population Commission, Mr Nasir Kwarra has charged Journalists on professionalism ahead of the 2023 National Population and Housing Census in Nigeria.
Mr Kwarra stated this during a three-day capacity building workshop themed; “2023 Census: Getting People Involved,” for Journalists in Nasarawa State.
The Chairman of the Commission added that the Census is a national event and that journalists should get the people involved by informing and educating them on the significance of the census.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Abuja Chapter, Nigeria’s capital, Emmanuel Ogbeche who was represented by the financial secretary, Gloria Essien, called for more training, support and security for Journalists while on duty.
The workshop is one of the events organized for Nigerian journalists ahead of the 2023 National Population and Housing Census in Nigeria.
