China Prepares Beidou Navigation Upgrade for 2027

China plans to test the next generation of its Beidou navigation system in 2027, positioning it as a rival to the U.S.-owned GPS, state broadcaster CCTV reported on Thursday.

The new system, expected to be fully deployed by 2035, will offer users enhanced real-time navigation with greater precision, according to the report.
