The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Kogi State Branch, has expressed felicitation to Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid Al-Adha, the annual Muslim festival of Rams.
CAN in a congratulatory message to Muslims in the state, by Chairman of the Association in Kogi State, Dr Adebayo Emmanuel Olaniyan, the body said: “We wish to felicitate with His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and our Muslim brothers and sisters on the occasion of the Eid Al-Adha celebration. We join them in commemorating the values of sacrifice, love, and obedience that it represents.
“As we mark this auspicious occasion, we call on all Kogites to embrace peace, unity, and love for one another. We believe that Kogi State can achieve its full potential if we put aside our differences and work together to build a stronger, more united, and prosperous state.
“Our Muslim brothers and sisters use this occasion to pray for the peace and prosperity of our dear State under the watch of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Peace loving Governor of Kogi State. We also call on all Kogites to pray for His Excellency and all in Government for God’s guidance and wisdom as they steer the affairs of Kogi State.”
CAN however, used the opportunity to reiterate its commitment to promoting religious harmony and peaceful coexistence among adherents of other religions as it expressed the belief that Kogi State will be stronger when we all work together and respect each other’s faiths and beliefs.
CAN wishes all Muslims in Nigeria a happy Eid Al-Adha celebration and pray that Almighty God will continue to bless the State and the nation at large with peace, unity, and prosperity.
