The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission ( NCPC), Reverend Yakubu Pam has urged members of the Berom Community Association ( BECAL), to be united, show honour and respect to their neighbours

The Christian Cleric gave the charge in a message delivered at the third edition of Wusal Berom held in Lagos state on Sunday.

He admonished them not to live fake lives but to pursue their dreams as a people

“Fake life kills and does not represent the truth about a people,” the Executive Secretary said.

He encouraged them to imbibe the virtues of good and harmonious living and shun criminality that seeks to gratify selfish desires

Rev Pam who spoke on the topic; Building The Walls, charged them show honour and respect to their neighbours. This, he says, would expose them to better friendships and understanding with their host community.

“People are what they are because of certain things that have been deposited in them by God.

“If we must succeed as a people, we must learn to build relationships with people outside of the land to push our agenda forward. This relationship helps a lot.

“When you respect relationships people will respect us, so we the Berom people must learn to relate with others and have good friends.

“It is sad to see the hatred we have developed against one another which is hindering our growth.

According to Rev Pam as a people, there is the need to build bridges of unity cutting across the board and it’s not building with blocks but building with shared responsibility.

The Lagos Chapter of the Berom Community Association was formed in 2018 as a forum to unite Berom sons and daughters residing in the South Western state.
