The Catholic Bishop of Lafia Diocese, Most Rev Dr David Ajang has charged christians to share with one another particularly during the Christmas season.

Bishop Ajang gave the charge on Christmas day while delivering a sermon at St William’s Cathedral in Lafia the state capital.

According to him, Christians must learn to share what God has given to them with one another, saying that Christmas is a period to give to people, especially the vulnerable in the society.

“Today is the birth of the most special among the children in the world. This is because God made the prophecy of the birth of Jesus at the garden of Eden and prophets spoke His birth”.

“The birth of Christ changed the nature of human existence. It is because of the special birth of Christ that we commemorate the birth of Christ every year. This, even though the resources are not enough we must celebrate with our family.
” It goes beyond the father, mother and children but to include those we have met in life by sharing with them. We are therefore recommended to spend time with our families and communicate with them,” he said.

Speaking on the current situation of the  country, the Bishop compared the situation with the time Jesus was born which he said was characterised by chaos and insecurity.

Bishop Ajang said for Nigeria to solve the problem of insecurity and the current economic crisis bedeviling, its citizens must change their attitudes.

He, however said that Jesus Christ was capable of changing the situation to become positive while calling on both the leaders and followers to always do the right thing for a better country.
