Christmas: Nigerian Lawmakers spread love to Constituents

Lawmakers in Nigeria have been spreading love to their respective constituents in celebration of Christmas across the country.

The Lawmaker representing Lavun, Edati, and Mokwa Federal Constituencies, of Niger state, Mr. Joshua Audu Gana extended his Christmas wishes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Niger state Governor, members of his constituency, the good people of Niger state, and all Nigerians.

Mr. Gana said this is a season of love and that this must go round.

In his Christmas message, the lawmaker wished them a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous 2025.

Similarly, another member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Uchenna Okonkwo has through his Food Bank Initiative, distributed food items to over two thousand five hundred members of his constituency.

The beneficiaries compromise the widows, the elderly and other vulnerable members of the society.

The member representing Idemili North and South in Anambra state said that the distribution was in the spirit of the Yuletide season.

“This initiative program is part of the comprehensive efforts alleviate the adverse effects of the current economic hardship in Nigeria “.

Beneficiaries of the gesture commended the lawmaker and urged other Nigerians to emulate the lawmaker.

In the same vein a Member representing Ijebu-Ode/Odogbolu/Ijebu-Northeast Ogun state, Mr. Femi Ogunbanwo, has extended his warmest greetings to everyone in Ogun State, his Constituency and Nigeria in general.

“We gather with family and friends to celebrate the joyous occasion of Christmas. Christmas is a time to reflect on the values of love, hope, and generosity, which are the foundation of our shared humanity. This season, let us recommit ourselves to fostering unity and understanding in our communities. We are strongest when we work together, transcending differences to build a nation rooted in peace and progress.

 ” As your representative, I am dedicated to working with you to address our challenges and unlock the vast potential of our people. Let this Christmas inspire us all to contribute positively to the development of our constituencies and the country at large. Together, we can create a brighter future for generations to come.”

He also prayed that the blessings of this season bring peace, prosperity, and joy to every home.

“Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!” Mr. Ogunbanwo added.
