Chukwuma Advocates Proper Building Practices, Gifts N150 Million For New Retreat Center

During a thanksgiving mass commemorating the 40th priestly anniversary of Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor at St. Patrick’s Cathedral Awka, Anambra State, Sir Paul Chukwuma emphasized the importance of engaging professional architects and surveyors in construction projects to prevent building collapses.
The 2025 Anambra State Governorship contender donated N150 million to the Catholic Diocese of Awka for the construction of a new retreat center in Isiagu community, Awka South LGA.
Chukwuma’s philanthropic gesture, aimed at giving back to society, was hailed by Bishop Ezeokafor who highlighted the need for unity and progress in both the church and society.
Notably, the retreat center will boast various amenities including a chapel, accommodation, and an auditorium.
Senator Victor Umeh also supported the project with N5 Million.
The Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo lauded Bishop Ezeokafor’s commitment to fostering the growth of the Catholic Church and promoting interreligious harmony in the state.
