The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has partnered with the Nigerian Navy to protect critical national assets and infrastructure in Lagos State, South West of the country.

To solidify this partnership, the Lagos State Commandant, Mr. Adedotun Keshinro, visited the Commander of the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Beecroft, Commodore Rafiu Oladejo, in his office.

During the visit, Mr. Keshinro expressed his gratitude to Commodore Oladejo for his collaboration with the NSCDC, particularly for his efforts in handing over suspects who had vandalized national infrastructure in the state.

He said; “This collaboration has been instrumental in enhancing the security and protection of vital assets in Lagos.

“I appreciate NNS Beecroft for its operational role and professional collaborations, particularly with the handover of suspects and exhibits to the Corps for further investigation and prosecution,” Mr. Keshinro said.

He explained that Commodore Oladejo had recently handed over five suspects, an illegal dump site, and an estimated 65,000 litres of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) to the NSCDC at a crime scene in Lekki.

The relationship between NNS Beecroft and the NSCDC Lagos State Command has been strengthened through several professional and operational collaborations.

Commodore Oladejo affirmed that the Nigerian Navy would continue to support the NSCDC in fulfilling its mandate, emphasizing that the feedback on arrests and exhibits handed over to the Corps is based on trust and integrity.
