A Lagos-based cleric, Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye, has advised Nigerians to cut down their social life expenses when and where possible in response to the economic challenges.

Yomi-Sholoye disclosed this at a news conference held in Lagos to herald the 5th edition of the Night of Divine Experience (NODE 5.0).

Speaking on the annual programme themed, ‘Go, Ye’, the clergy urged Nigerians to continue adjusting their expenses following the government subsidy removal and the subsequent economic challenges.

In a statement on Saturday, she said, “This is the time to think outside the box. This is the time to be realistic about our lifestyle.

The founder of New Seraph, Faith Mission Cherubim and Seraphim also said the event was billed for next week in Ogun State.”

According to her, “It will take a while for Nigeria to gradually get out of the current economic realities.”

She urged the government to consider the sufferings of the masses and take proactive actions toward addressing the country’s economic challenges.

Yomi-Sholoye, said the youth are the future of the church, and by extension the nation. “We want them to live the life of Christ”.

Speaking on the essence of evangelism to the church, she said soul-winning was very important.

She added that if citizens were depressed, soul-winning might be difficult.
