Nigeria’s National Insurance Commission NAICOM, is working with the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA to put in place a cyber insurance framework for the country.
This was disclosed in a statement singned by the management of NAICOM.
The statement revealed that the Management of the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA led by its Director General Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, paid a courtesy visit to the National Insurance Commission, NAICOM and was received by the Commissioner for Insurance, Olorundare Sunday Thomas, and his Management team.
It said “the purpose of the visit is to activate the process of institutionalizing cyber insurance to help strengthen the digital ecosystem in Nigeria. The two Agencies discussed the enormous benefits to the nation and have agreed to partner to ensure it is realized”.
