Commissioner urges EKSG to diversify economy through creative arts

Mr. Ojo Bakare, the Commissioner for Art and Culture in Ekiti state Nigeria, emphasized the government’s commitment to economic diversification through the exploration of the rich potential within creative arts and cultural resources.

He made this known while addressing a news conference on Monday in Ado-Ekiti, Bakare said that it was imperative for states to be innovative by unveiling bold initiatives to foster creativity and economic growth.
The commissioner said that consequently Gov. Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti had approved immediate implementation of economic development of the creative arts and talent promotion

“An endowment fund programme has also been launched to enhance skills of emerging talents in all the creative art sector.”
Bakare explained that, the groundbreaking initiative, emphasizing its focus on fostering talents by providing support and opportunities, promoting the preservation of cultural heritage, and actively contributing to the stimulation of economic development in Ekiti.
