Communications Ministry Seeks Collaborative Support from Revenue Agency

The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Bolanle Olukoju has sought for the collaborative support and a cordial working relationship with the State Internal Revenue Service, KWIRS.
Olukoju emphasised the revenue-generating capabilities within the Ministry of Communications.
He was speaking during a courtesy visit to the Revenue House in Ilorin, the State Capital.
Notably, the Kwara State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA), operating under the Ministry has the potential to generate millions of naira for the state.
Additionally, Olukoju highlighted the untapped opportunities within the state that the Ministry of Communications could harness with the right tools to operate.
The Commissioner specifically requested support in the form of utility vehicles to enhance the Ministry and its agencies’ efficiency and facilitate the delivery of their respective mandates.
In her response, the Chairman of KWIRS, Mrs Shade Omoniyi expressed delight for the visit and pledged “her readiness to support the Ministry’s goals and objectives.”
She agreed that prioritising the allocation of utility vehicles to the Ministry would contribute to the state’s revenue mobilisation efforts.
Mrs Omoniyi also recognised the tourism potential of Sobi Hills in Ilorin and called for proper utilisation of this natural asset.
She described the panoramic view of Ilorin from the hill as a potential tourist attraction.
The visit concluded with the exchange of gifts between the Ministry and KWIRS.
The State Director of Information Services, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Atere extended his gratitude to the Chairman of KWIRS and her team for their warm reception and camaraderie.
