The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Adewale Adeniyi, has received a certificate of excellence for his first 100 days of impactful public relations at the just concluded 2024 SABRE African Public Relations Association (APRA) Award and annual conference held at Côte d’Ivoire from May 13- 18, 2024.
According to the Chief Superintendent of Customs, Abdullahi Maiwada, the spokesman of the service who also attended the conference, securing SABRE recognition speaks volumes of the winners’ highest level of creativity, integrity and effectiveness in both public relations and governance, as it is the largest continental awards competition for the public relations industry in Africa.
Commenting on the award, CGC Adeniyi appreciated the organisers, “I am very grateful for this recognition, but I hope that this will inspire us in Nigeria Customs Service and will provide impactful leadership in governance in Nigeria.”
