Condolence: VP Shettima Visits Jigawa State

Vice President Kashim Shettima is today visiting Jigawa State, North-West Nigeria.

He is on his way there to condole with Governor Umar Namadi over the recent demise of his mother and son.

Double tragedy struck when the governor lost his mother, Hajiya Maryam on Christmas Day, December 25, followed by the death of his eldest son, Abdulwahab, on Boxing Day, December 26.

Abdulwahab aged 24, died in a ghastly car crash on Thursday.

VP Shettima departed Maiduguri for Jigawa on Saturday at about 12:35 GMT, accompanied by Borno State Governor Prof Babagana Zulum and other close associates.

The Vice President had been in Borno State since Tuesday, December 24, for the Christmas break.
