Conflicts: Foundation Sensitises Stakeholders in Kaduna State On Dialogue

A Non-Governmental Organisation know as Neem Foundation in collaboration with Kaduna State Centre for Peace building are sensitising Stakeholders on the use of Reflective Structured Dialogue, RSD.
The RSD method is to enhance the gains of Early Warning and Early Response, EWER through community ownership and sustainability.
The District Liaison Officer, NEM Foundation, Mujitaba Nasir at the meeting in Kaduna explained that, the objective of the peace building stakeholders forum was to further enlighten the EWER committee on the need for dialogue through community participation.
Mujitaba therefore urged participants to adopt alternative dispute resolution in their various communities for peace building.
A participant, Hamza Muhammed said the workshop was an eye opener, owing to the fact that an effective early warning system is a catalyst for policy making, conflict prevention and peace building.
He pointed out that with the training, majority of them now understand the importance of early warning and early response during conflicts.
Meanwhile, other participants at the meeting recommended the inclusion of youths and women in decision making, especially in the traditional institutions.
They also called for the establishment of RSD committees in every community.
The two days event had in attendance 98 participants drawn from within Kaduna state.
