Consolidated APC Grassroots Movement Emerges As Political Force For Future

The All Progressives Congress, APC grassroots political movement has evolved into the formidable Consolidated APC Grassroots Movement, CAGraM.

The announcement follows the successful ratification of processes leading to the election of Zonal and State Exco members in Abuja on Thursday.

Chairman of the Restructuring Committee, Lord Butches Emmanuel Nwosu made this  kniwn in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

He emphasised that CAGraM has transcended being a mere support group to attain a political stature of gargantuan presence.

“The decision to rebrand aims to distance the movement from the term “Support Group,” perceived as diminishing the significance of their political efforts,” Nwosu said.

He outlined three major goals, including rewarding those who contributed to the 2023 Presidential polls in the midterm, expanding grassroots influence and recruiting new members as the immediate goal, and securing the presidency in 2031 as the long-term objective.

“We have proved beyond any doubt that we have much to bring to the table. Therefore, no leader or stakeholder in our party or Nigeria, for that matter, will dare joke with what this organization can deliver at polling units across the country,” he said.

The movement’s leaders expressed determination to sweep the entire grassroots, ensuring commitment from undecided and first-time voters, with a strategic focus on the 2027 general election.

Plans are underway for local elections in January 2024 to elect executives at the Local Government, Ward, and Polling Unit levels.

As the Consolidated APC Grassroots Movement charts its course for the future, the leaders remain resolute in their vision, with Nwosu concluding that  “Our commitment is unwavering as we steer towards shaping the political landscape for years to come.”
