Corps mobilisation: NYSC, JAMB Strengthen Partnership to Ensure Credibility

The management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has extended its gratitude to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for its unwavering commitment to advancing the objectives of the NYSC through the promotion of seamless mobilisation processes.

The Director General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, conveyed this appreciation during a cordial meeting with the Registrar of JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, and his management team at the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

In his remarks, Brigadier General Ahmed expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing the credibility and efficiency of the NYSC mobilisation process. He acknowledged the pivotal role played by JAMB in facilitating the seamless integration of qualified candidates into the NYSC scheme.

In his response, Professor Ishaq Oloyede conveyed his appreciation for the warm reception despite the Director General’s demanding schedules, emphasising the significance of the partnership between JAMB and the NYSC.

The Registrar urged commitment from both parties to maintain a robust partnership characterised by vigilance and proactive engagement to forestall any attempts by malicious individuals to compromise the integrity of the JAMB database or the NYSC mobilisation process.

Professor Oloyede asked the Scheme to include the Course of Study and Name of the Institution attended on the NYSC Registration Portal for Prospective Corps Members during online registration.

The JAMB Registrar also revealed that the Board would provide its list of registered candidates for NYSC to harmonise and fish out unqualified candidates that may fraudulently present themselves for mobilization for National Service.
