COSON to Celebrate 150 Most Influential Nigerians at Exclusive Green Ball

The Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) has announced plans to host the COSON Green Ball, an exclusive event celebrating 150 of Nigeria’s most influential figures for their resilience and impact.

In a statement on Thursday, COSON Chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji, emphasized that the event aims to foster national unity and development.

“On Friday, May 30th, 150 of the most influential Nigerians and their spouses will be treated to world-class entertainment as COSON rolls out the green carpet to celebrate Nigeria at the prestigious COSON Green Ball,” he said.

The high-profile gathering will feature selected governors, ministers, senators, leading entrepreneurs, top professionals, and distinguished figures from the entertainment industry. Renowned Afro-Juju legend Sir Shina Peters is set to be one of the headline performers.

The COSON Green Ball is also a key highlight of the 2025 COSON Week, themed Nigeria Will Rise Again. According to Okoroji, Nigerian entertainers, alongside their vast fan base, play a crucial role in uniting the nation and providing hope amid challenges.

“We believe that through music and entertainment, we can help heal national wounds and inspire optimism. Despite our difficulties, we are committed to building a future where every Nigerian child has a promise of hope,” he stated.

As part of this vision, COSON has curated a series of events for COSON Week 2025 to engage various segments of society, reinforcing the powerful message that Nigeria Will Rise Again.
