COVID-19: Nigeria confirms 107 new cases

Nigeria has confirmed 107 new cases of the deadly coronavirus also known as COVID-19.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC confirmed the cases on Tuesday night via its official Facebook page.

The NCDC explained that the new cases were recorded in “ FCT-38, Oyo-21, Rivers-17, Edo-13, Delta-7, Enugu-4, Zamfara-4, Plateau-3”

“Today’s report includes: 7 confirmed cases reported for Delta state for 6th (4) & 7th (3) December 2021, 4 confirmed cases reported for Enugu State for 6th December 2021, 1 discharged case reported for Enugu state for 6th December 2021, 5 states with zero cases reported: Kano, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Sokoto,” the NCDC added.

These latest figures bring the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 214,896 with 207,495 discharged and 2,978 COVID-19 related deaths.

The NCDC also reported three additional cases of the Omicron variant on Tuesday.
