Nigeria has recorded 1270 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of persons who have tested positive in the country to 102,601.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this via its official Twitter handle.
According to the tweet, the 1270 new cases were from 22 states. Lagos state reported the highest number of cases with 435 new cases while Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory was second with 234 and Gombe State had the lowest with one new case.

The NCDC also twitted that as of 12 January, 102,601 cases had been confirmed, 81,574 cases treated and discharged, while 1373 deaths were recorded.
