Nigeria has recorded 37 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of persons who have tested positive in the country to 165,419.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this via its official Twitter handle.
According to the tweet, the 37 new cases were from 7 states. Yobe State reported the highest number with 13 new cases, Lagos was second with 12 while Edo, Kaduna and Ogun States had the lowest with 1 new case each.

The NCDC also tweeted that as of 9 May, 165,419 cases had been confirmed, 156,297 cases treated and discharged, while 2,065 deaths were recorded.
