COVID-19: Nigeria confirms 41 new cases

Nigeria has recorded 41 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of persons who have tested positive in the country to 165,702.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this via its official Twitter handle.

According to the tweet, the 41 new cases were from 7 states. Lagos state reported the highest number with 16 new cases, Yobe was second with 14 while Edo state had the lowest with 1 new case.

“Lagos-16 Yobe-14 Rivers-3 FCT-3 Akwa Ibom-2 Bayelsa-2 Edo-1.”

The NCDC also tweeted that as of 15 May, 165,702 cases had been confirmed, 156,412 cases treated and discharged, while 2,066 deaths were recorded.
