Nigeria has confirmed 422 new cases of the deadly coronavirus also known as COVID-19.
Nigeria’s Centre for Disease Control NCDC confirmed the cases on Wednesday morning via its official Facebook page.
According to NCDC “The 422 new cases are reported from 15 States – Rivers (178), Kwara (87), FCT (57), Borno (20), Kaduna (17), Plateau (14), Katsina (12), Delta (6), Edo (6), Jigawa (6), Anambra (5), Ekiti (5), Oyo (5), Ogun (3), Nasarawa (1)”
The Centre noted that one COVID-19 related death was recorded in the country.
These latest figures bring the total number of confirmed cases to 249,154 with 220,195 discharged and 3,086 deaths.
