COVID-19: Nigeria confirms 45 new cases

Nigeria has confirmed 45  new cases of the deadly coronavirus also known as COVID-19.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC confirmed the cases on Saturday night via its official website.

NCDC noted that the 45 new cases are reported from States- “Anambra-18, FCT-15, Lagos-9, Bauchi-1, Kano-1, Rivers-1″

These latest figures bring the total number of confirmed cases to 213,532  with 206,486 discharged and 2,973 deaths.

The NCDC noted that “Today’s report includes: 3 states with zero cases reported: Katsina, Plateau, and Sokoto Backlog of 18 cases reported for Anambra state from week 47 (11) and 20th Nov (7) Backlog of 15 cases reported for FCT from week 47 (10) and 20th Nov (5) Community discharges from FCT.”
