COVID-19: Nigeria confirms 466 new cases, three deaths

Nigeria has confirmed 466 cases of the deadly coronavirus also known as COVID-19.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC confirmed the cases on Saturday night via its official website.

The NCDC also noted that three COVID related deaths were recorded in the country

NCDC noted that the 466 new cases are reported from 13 States- “Lagos (134), Rivers (82), Edo (69), Gombe (39), FCT (32), Kaduna (21), Plateau (20), Benue (19), Kwara (17), Delta (16), Akwa Ibom (10), Bayelsa (5) and Kano (2).)

“Today’s report includes: Confirmed (31) cases for Delta are backlogs for August 2021 and (17) for 11th September 2021 Confirmed (50) cases for Anambra are backlogs from July to 11th September 2021.”  the NCDC explained.

These latest figures bring the total number of confirmed cases to 198,239  with 185,780 discharged and 2,588 deaths.
