Nigeria has confirmed 49 new cases of the novel coronavirus also known as COVID-19.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC confirmed the cases via its official Twitter handle on Thursday night.
The 49 new cases are reported from Lagos-21, Rivers-16, FCT-5, Kano-3, Akwa Ibom-2, Ebonyi-1, Ekiti-1.
The latest figures bring the total number of confirmed cases to 165,901 total discharged 156,459 and 2,067 confirmed deaths.
