Nigeria has recorded 51 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of persons who have tested positive in the country to 164,684.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this via its official Twitter handle.
According to the tweet, the 51 new cases were from 6 states. Yobe state reported the highest number with 19 new cases, Lagos was second with 17 while Bayelsa state had the lowest with 1 new case.

The NCDC also tweeted that as of 24 April, 164,684 cases had been confirmed, 154,687 cases treated and discharged, while 2,061 deaths were recorded.
