Nigeria has confirmed 601 new cases of the deadly coronavirus also known as COVID-19.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC confirmed the cases on Thursday night via its official website.
The NCDC also noted that 7 COVID related deaths were recorded in the country
NCDC noted that the 601 new cases are reported from 17 States- “Lagos (173), Edo (97), FCT (68), Rivers (50), Delta (45), Kaduna (28), Ondo (28), Akwa Ibom (25), Bayelsa (16), Imo (16), Plateau (15), Anambra (12), Ekiti (11), Cross River (6), Oyo (6), Gombe (3), and Benue (2).“
These latest figures bring the total number of confirmed cases to 200,957 with 189,346 discharged and 2,647 deaths.
