Nigeria has confirmed 631 cases of the deadly coronavirus also known as COVID-19.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC confirmed the cases on Thursday night via its official website.
The NCDC also noted that eight COVID related deaths were recorded in the country
NCDC noted that the 631 new cases are reported from 20 States- “Lagos (172), Oyo (93), Rivers (72), Edo (63), Kastina (29), Abia (26), FCT (23), Kano (23), Bayelsa (20), Ogun (20), Ekiti (18), Anambra (16), Delta (16), Osun (14), Imo (11), Benue (6), Enugu (4), Jigawa (2), Niger (2) and Nasarawa (1)“
“Today’s report includes: Backlog of 63 cases reported for Edo State from 1st (35), 2nd (28), September 2021, Backlog of 29 cases reported for Kastina State from 1st (10), and 2nd September (10), 2021 and Four States with zero cases reported: Borno, Ondo, Sokoto, and Zamfara,” the NCDC explained.
These latest figures bring the total number of confirmed cases to 193,644 with 179,249759 discharged and 2,488 deaths.
