Nigeria has recorded 80 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of persons who have tested positive in the country to 164,080.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this via its official Twitter handle.
According to the tweet, 80 new cases were from 12 states. Lagos state reported the highest number with 29 new cases, Rivers State was second with 19 while the nation’s Federal Capital Territory and Oyo State had the lowest with 1 new case each.

The NCDC also tweeted that as of 15 April, 164,080 cases had been confirmed, 154,285 cases treated and discharged, while 2,061 deaths were recorded.
