Nigeria has recorded 346 new COVID-19 cases in 17 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The development brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country since the outbreak to 159,252.
This was contained in a report published by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on its official website.
The health agency also confirmed the death of 6 persons due to complications from the virus. This brings the total number of fatalities so far to 1,988.
According to the agency, “Our discharges today include 170 community recoveries in Lagos State and 83 in Kwara State managed in line with guidelines.
“The 346 new cases are reported from 18 states- Lagos (86), Bauchi (64), Kaduna (26), Kwara (26), FCT (24), Rivers (23), Plateau (22), Ogun (16), Ebonyi (14), Bayelsa (12), Cross River (10), Edo (8), Akwa Ibom (5), Ekiti (3), Gombe (2), Kano (2), Osun (2) and Delta (1).”
